libertarians are unanimously against government involvement in funding science and research. These should be left to the private sector.

Government funding/involvement in science is relatively a new phenomenon. Historically most of science/research was done by private individuals who were funded by rich donors.

The libertarian position on reservations is pretty clear. Libertarians are opposed to government interference in private business. Therefore are opposed to mandating reservations in private jobs.

In education, libertarians are opposed against government in education especially running colleges/universities. So the issue of reservations becomes a moot point In private colleges, libertarians strongly oppose forcing reservations on private colleges as that is a violation of their private property rights.

Abortion is one of the more contentious topics among libertarians. Some believe that abortion is murder and that a fetus is equivalent to a baby that is born, while others believe in a woman's right to evict a parasite (fetus) from her body at any point of time.

Walter Block has a theory known as evictionism where he separates the act of evicting the fetus from the killing of it. if the Fetus is viable outside a woman's womb then it must be left alive and anyone willing to take it allowed to do so. The woman/host of the fetus should not kill it. in the case that the fetus cannot survive outside of the womb, it is a parasite and the woman does not have any obligation to let it live inside her and can evict it at any point of time.

Some argue that in a free society without a government monopoly on force/law, it is unlikely that pregnant woman can be stopped from aborting, or that people will be able to do it.

It is pretty important for kids to be taught values that are compatible with a libertarian society. A lot of fairy tales, short stories currently taught in schools/homes emphasize worship of authority and do not emphasize on individual responsibility, work ethics etc and sometime even reward bad behavior.

So this page will contain stories that are recommended for kids, libertarian themed/compatible books and content. In addition current reading in schools is woefully inadequate for teaching critical thinking, philosophy etc. so please feel free to add books that you find useful for that
